Hi there! I’m Shanna, the one behind the lens at Shanna Fairley Photography!

Before I start talking about myself, here’s some images I took of my cutie kids (and husband!).

I had to start my bio with photos of them because these four people are the greatest blessings I have ever been given!

I wouldn’t be ME without THEM.

Now that you’ve gotten to see how adorable my family is (I mean, seriously right??) I can begin to tell you a little bit about how I feel getting to be the person who takes the pictures.

I was recently cleaning out a closet in my house and I came across boxes upon boxes of photos. The photos were from my childhood, high school shenanigans and good old college days. One envelope stuck out to me in particular because it was labeled “wannabe photographer”. Inside the envelope was a collection of portraits and candids I had taken of my family and friends. I was always the one tagging along with my camera! I took candids when no one was looking and set out on fun photoshoot adventures with my best friends. As I reminisced about all the fun “sessions” I had done in the past I couldn’t keep from smiling. How fun it is that now I take photos to be shared with others and not hidden away in my closet!

When you choose me to capture your family, you are truly and honestly getting someone who LOVES to photograph people’s lives. My job is not a job. It’s an art form that feeds my soul and brings me so much joy to share with others!

I’m the kind of person who cries at a beautiful sunset and sees photographs EVERYWHERE I look. I’m married to my best friend and we have been blessed with three children. I have quite a few titles in my life that I am honored to hold: wife, mother, friend, and it’s so fulfilling to add “photographer” to that list.

Shanna Fairley Photography is based out of Minneapolis/St. Paul in Minnesota. I travel to most locations in MSP without an additional fee. I also travel to Rochester and the surrounding area!
